Baseball Marketing

I just recently read an article about baseballs ability to keep their marketing numbers where they have been in the past few years. Some analysts were worried the image of the game of baseball would be tarnished by the Mitchell Report which was presented this winter, concerning steroids in baseball and naming some high profile players as users of steroids. However, the season just recently started and season ticket holders are ready for the season and ballparks across the country are still filling up with fans eager to see some of the world's best baseball players. Many people attribute this to baseball's strong brand identity. Despite this latest "scandal" along with problems baseball has had in the past such as strikes, baseball still has one of the strongest brands out there. After all it is "America's Favorite Pastime." While the sports integrity may have been compromised, I believe that baseball will still have a strong attraction to millions of people across the country. I can say i am anxious to get to a few games myself, this summer.
